Forensic Fees ($225 per hour)

Fees include, but are not limited to: client and collateral interviews, record review, telephone calls, letters, reports, and travel time. Dr. Heavin prorates time to the next highest five minutes. She also utilizes the services of an assistant whose time is billed out at $75 per hour.

Clinical Fees ($150 per hour)

Clinical fees are to be paid at the time of service. Dr. Heavin does not bill medical insurance companies directly. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to avoid incurring fees.

Each case begins by record review. Clients are required to provide the relevant documents accompanied by a check reflecting the amount of time necessary to review the material.

The hourly fee may be adjusted before the start of a project, particularly for public institutions or cases of special merit. Payment arrangements may be tailored to the particular needs of the retaining party. For example, School Districts and other public institutions generate a purchase order but cannot make payment until services have been provided. For parenting evaluations and diagnostic assessments, all estimated fees must be paid in advance.

Any fees provided in excess of the services rendered will be returned. Clients will be promptly notified if the funds have been exceeded. When retained by a private attorney’s office, the attorney is the financially responsible party.

Fees for depositions and court appearances are $275 an hour and must be paid 72 hours in advance. Fees are charged in hourly increments by prior agreement. In cases where the time required for services has been underestimated, payment is expected within 10 business days.
